Benefits of Membership
CONVENTION CALENDAR: You will receive our confidential convention information which provides you with the client name, address, phone number, event attendance, and where and when all confirmed events are taking place.

MEMBERSHIP EVENTS: Bureau membership avails you to a variety of services and activities, ranging from educational seminars to networking opportunities. Notification of all events is given to members.
- Member Mixers: Early evening, no-host receptions provide the opportunity to meet fellow members and develop valuable business contacts in a social setting.
- San Mateo County Tour: The Bureau organizes an annual tour of San Mateo County for hotel and visitor industry bureau members to see all of what there is in the county.
- SMCCVB Annual Luncheon: The annual luncheon takes place at the beginning of each year and highlights the new Bureau board members and officers. This is an ideal networking opportunity for all of our Bureau members.

INTERNET/WEBSITE: All members of the Bureau are listed on our website and those members with their own websites may be linked to the Bureau’s site at no charge.

REGULAR UPDATES: Bulletin including information on upcoming events and activities as well as general industry news. A membership Spotlight section is available to you to promote your products and services to fellow members.

MEMBERSHIP ROSTER: A membership reference to members’ products, goods and services.

THE VISITORS GUIDE (80,000 published): Published annually the Guide reaches prospective meeting planners, concierges and in-town travelers. The Guide highlights accommodations, business services, dining and attractions to promote and sell the facilities and services of San Mateo County.

MAP OF SAN MATEO COUNTY (40,000 published): This full color map features San Mateo County with major roadways on one side and a comprehensive detailed map of the Bureau’s member cities and downtown districts on the other. Members are highlighted and may advertise in the map.

MEMBER BROCHURE PROGRAM: Member information/brochures may be displayed at the San Mateo County Convention & Visitors Bureau office as well as the Visitor Center at The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos.

MEMBER IDENTIFICATION: Welcome your customers with SMCCVB credentials through your membership plaque.

MAILING LABELS: Send your message to fellow Bureau members and local media. These names and addresses are available to our members interested in promoting their business.

BI-MONTHLY CALENDAR OF EVENTS: This is a pamphlet listing major events and activities in the county for the next two months. Members receive quantities of this publication free of charge and may include their events in the publication free of charge.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT: Tourism plays an enormous role in the county’s economy. You help to ensure San Mateo County’s economic vitality by being a member.
