California Welcome Center (CWC)

The California Welcome Center San Mateo (CWC), one of only twenty within the entire state, is located at Hillsdale Shopping Center in the City of San Mateo.  The Center is staffed over 360 days a year and offers brochures and information for local attractions, as well as attractions throughout California. Our CWC may be reached via U.S. Highway 101 or via Caltrain. Highly visible signage is posted on Highway 101, directing visitors to the Hillsdale Boulevard exit.  Hillsdale Shopping Center is located across from the Hillsdale Caltrain stop. You can find our CWC on the first level by the outside entrance between Banana Republic and Macy’s. Tickets for area attractions, along with shirts and souvenirs, are available for purchase.
