Brisbane

Brisbane is called “The City of Stars” because of a holiday tradition established over 65 years ago. At the start of the Christmas/Hanukkah season, many residents and business owners place large, illuminated stars on the “downhill” sides of homes and offices. Brisbane is built on the eastern slope of San Bruno Mountain, allowing visitors to easily see the stars. Visitation Avenue is the heart of the City’s downtown district, with the Brisbane Village Shopping Center located only blocks away.  Both areas are home to a myriad of restaurants and outdoor eating establishments. Also, a walking trail runs right along the San Francisco Bay.
