Luckily, some of our partners have implemented online/virtual options such as virtual tours, aquarium live cams, online art collections, penguin cams and more to enjoy their services without leaving our homes, check them out below!

Año Nuevo State Park - The park is going LIVE! Introducing the Elephant Seal Adaptation program, explore the habitat, behaviors, and adaptations of the northern elephant seal. Año Nuevo State Park will be going live on their Facebook. Like their page to get notifications when they go live!



Aquarium of the Bay - The aquarium is transitioning to provide a virtual experience for all of their visitors to enjoy. The Aquarium of the Bay has added at-home resources for teachers and parents to use, for education purposes, which are broken down by grade level. You may also release your inner artist and get creative with their coloring activity!

Furthermore, every Monday and Friday the aquarium will be going live on their Facebook for their #BringTheZooToYou initiative. Or watch the otters play and have fun on their Live Otter Cam! Daily from 10 am-12 pm.

Cantor Arts Center & The Anderson Collection - Although both the Cantor Arts Center and The Anderson Collection are temporarily closed and there is no substitute for experiencing art in person, their team compiled a digest of digital resources to explore until they can welcome you back. Enjoy their Museums from Home collection of online exhibitions, archives, recorded lectures, and oral histories.

California Academy of Sciences - The California Academy of Sciences has committed to providing free, high-quality resources to the community - whether you’re looking for ways to entertain yourself or the kids at home, enjoy their curated array of fun activities that will keep you engaged and entertained! Computer History Museum - Although the museum is closed, there are various virtual programs that are offered during this time. One of the programs is a virtual scavenger hunt for students in grades 6-12. The Computer History Museum is also offering museum virtual tours where you can explore all 25,000-square-feet of their exhibits where you can learn all about the history of computing from the abacus to the smartphone.

Dragon Productions Theatre Company - The theatre company is introducing, Dragon on Demand, a limited library of “On Demand” archival videos of previous productions which have been recorded in order to give viewers a chance to catch up on any shows they missed! Every viewing of these videos helps them continue to pay their rent, small staff and support their local community.

Filoli Historic House & Gardens - This historic landmark is now offering virtual tours of their beautiful blooms! Filoli is showcasing their Spring at Filoli videos to see what flowers this season brings! You may also check out what’s blooming on their Bloom Watch page.​



The Foster -- This Palo Alto art museum is now offering virtual education tools to enjoy the museum from your own home! The Foster allows you to follow Tony Foster as he guides us through all four of his exhibitions -- all on their YouTube channel.

Gamble Garden - Although Gamble Garden may not be open to visitors this month, so they are bringing Gamble to you! Enjoy beautiful photos of the Gamble House and its surroundings. To learn more about this, please click here.

Hiller Aviation Museum - Now you can see and learn about the historic wonder and beauty of aviation right from your computer screen! The Hiller Aviation Museum has released a 360° panoramic VR site for their visitors to go on virtual tours of the exhibits. Check it out here

Monterey Bay Aquarium -- Although the Monterey Bay Aquarium is currently closed for safety reasons, they have pledged to connect with all of you digitally in order to share their love of the ocean with everyone. They are offering an aquarium live cam, Monterey penguin cam, and more.

  • LIVE Sea Otter Cam: Every day from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM, the aquarium is sharing a live webfeed of their rescued wild sea otters playing in their exhibits. Click here to see these cute little creatures have fun!
     
  • Morning Medit-Ocean: Every Monday-Friday at 8:00 AM, join the Aquarium on their Facebook Live for 10 minutes of morning mindfulness. Offering guided meditation while you gaze at relaxing ocean imagery.
     
  • Afternoon Exploration:  Every Monday-Friday from 2:30 PM - 3:00 PM. Drop into a daily live stream with their remote social media team. They will be exploring animals, their marine habitats and answering some of your marine-related questions. Streaming from Facebook, Periscope, Twitch, and YouTube.
     
  • Penguin Cam: A live stream of Penguins all day every day? Say less! Tune in to their site at any time to watch the African Penguins shake their tail feathers and waddle around with friends.

Ouroboros Farms - The aquaponics farm is still open at this time, 7 days a week from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM, selling fresh vegetables and local produce. However, Ouroboros is also offering a virtual tour of their beautiful farm. Click here to check it out!

Pigeon Point Light Station State Historic Park - The light station has implemented virtual accommodations to enjoy the natural beauty and history of the landmark while staying at home. San Francisco Wine School - The wine school is offering classes and programs online through the Glancy eWine School! The San Francisco Wine School has also made over 40 classes available via their online webinar and webcast now through May 31st. Those who complete a webinar session are also eligible to attend a future in-class session (same class) at no additional charge. To learn more about these classes, please click here.

VIRTUAL RECREATIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED BY CITIES


Burlingame Parks and Recreation - The department is excited to offer a Virtual Recreation Center and Resource Guide that includes video tutorials, arts & crafts, fitness, games, and activities for all ages! Click here to visit the site.

South San Francisco Parks & Rec - The ​South San Francisco Parks and Recreation Department is providing fun, educational and recreational resources for community members of all ages. Check out their new Virtual Recreation & Resource Center, including art activities, virtual walkthroughs, exercise videos, and many educational resources. The page will be continually updated by staff.​

Other cities like Belmont and San Mateo are offering virtual recreation activities. You can choose from many different activities of fun for you and your families.
