We Bay Area folk have been quarantining for a little over three weeks, and I don’t know about you, but I am definitely starting to get bored! My problem is I want to have fun but obviously due to "Shelter in Place" I don’t want to/can’t leave the house to do so.
So, I wanted to take this time while social distancing to improve my very limited wine palette. However, I don’t want to go to the supermarket to stand in the aisles forever to search for good bottles! Luckily, a handful of wineries in San Mateo County are offering wine delivery and/or curbside pickup for wine enthusiasts to enjoy at home, check them out below!
OLD COUNTY WINE CELLARS
Located in San Carlos, Old County Cellars has introduced a curbside pickup program, available every Saturday in April from 1-2:30 pm. Order your wine through their website or email Toni at email@example.com by 9 pm on Friday night for a next day (Saturday) pickup. Your credit card number must be on file with Old County Cellars to use this service. Pull up to the curb outside of their tasting room, located at 295 Old County Rd #1, pop open your trunk or passenger door and they will place the order in your car. Furthermore, OCC has just announced their new online store is up and running for business! You may purchase wine online here. They offer shipping to 39 states. Order during the month of May and you get $10 off shipping on all orders!
FLYING SUITCASE WINES
Also located in San Carlos, Flying Suitcase Wines is offering wine delivery to your doorstep! They are currently offering free shipping on six or more bottles within California. From white wine to rosé to zinfandel and more, they have a great selection for any wine lover! The winery is also offering curbside wine pickup primarily between 2-4 pm every Saturday and Sunday. Visit their website to order online or call them at 650.636.6737.
RUSSIAN RIDGE WINERY
Again, located in San Carlos, Russian Ridge Winery is offering curbside wine pickup and wine delivery as well. Curbside pickup hours are Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 pm. To check out some of their great wine options, click here! I personally love their Zinfandel.

Make sure if you're picking up that you mark 'pickup' to avoid being charged for delivery. They are offering a 10% discount on an order of six bottles and 15% off cases -- they don't need to be the same varietals to qualify for the discount. Providing an array of red, white and dessert wines, Barterra has you covered! If you have any questions, feel free to email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Half Moon Bay Brewing Company is also open for takeout, and delivery to those who live on the coast as well as through DoorDash. They have an amazing array of seasonal and small-batch brews if that sounds like your cup of tea! If you’re looking for the hard stuff, Tripp Distillery is also open for pickup and same-day delivery from www.totalwine.com. They’ve also been homemaking hand sanitizer! If you’re lucky, you can get one with your purchase if they’re still available.
