Retired or soon to retire? This is a "MUST-DO" -- Learn issues and trends impacting older residents in our county. Train to become a SENIOR PEER COUNSELOR. Volunteer counselors (age 55+) receive FREE training.

To become a Senior Peer Counselor, volunteers participate in two, three-hour training sessions each week for a total of four weeks. During the sessions, participants learn top issues in aging, community resources, and the skills needed to be active listeners, recognize and respond to grief, depression, and anxiety, and work with diverse cultures.
