Hybrid Meetings & Events Planning
Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us have been forced to get creative with how we host events. One of those innovations has been the introduction of hybrid events. These types of events have become popular because they are a cost-effective way to host an event, while also allowing more attendees to join from afar.
A hybrid event is a tradeshow, conference, seminar, workshop, or other types of meetings that combine a "live" in-person event with a "virtual" online component. A virtual event is an online event that involves people interacting in a virtual environment on the web, rather than meeting in a physical location.
Here in San Mateo County and Silicon Valley, our partner venues and audio/visual companies have pivoted to becoming experts in hosting and running hybrid and virtual events. For example, our organization hosted a hybrid event at the Four Seasons Hotel Silicon Valley with technical support from PSAV. Additionally, Featherstone Studios also offers your guests the opportunity to have a virtual photo booth!
We believe that hybrid and virtual meetings and events are here to stay and are the future of the meetings industry. With so many convenient packages being offered, meeting and event planners are bound to find the right fit for their next meeting or event in San Mateo County & Silicon Valley.
For assistance with sourcing resources and support for your virtual and hybrid event, you may submit an online RFP or contact our Director of Sales, Teipo Brown, at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Earlier this year, our Convention & Visitors Bureau wanted to offer our partners insightful information and ideas on how to pivot to engage in the hybrid meeting and events platform. So, we took this opportunity to launch our first-ever, hybrid event with the help of a panel of experts from four separate segments from the meeting and events industry.
