When can I join?
You may become a partner anytime throughout the year. Interested in becoming a partner? Please contact our Community Outreach & Convention Services Manager, Nova Maldonado, at firstname.lastname@example.org or 650.348.3413 or fill out our online Partnership Application.
When does my partnership begin?
Once your paperwork and payment are received, we will send you a welcome email with all the necessary information, including a username and password to our online Partner Portal. Your partnership begins right away and lasts for one full year from the join date.
When will I need to renew my partnership?
Partnership renewals fall annually on the month that you joined. We will notify you in advance of the due date via a mailed invoice.
If am not a partner, may I still be listed on the website?
No, this is a privilege of partnership.
I am ready to join! What is the first step in signing up?
Great! Your first step is to complete a Partnership Application Form. Once your paperwork is submitted, our Community Outreach & Convention Services Manager will contact you for additional details if needed. If you would like to fill this out over the phone, please call Nova at 650.348.7600.
I’m a new SMCCVB partner. When do I get access to the online partner portal, and what can I do in the portal?
As soon as your Partnership Application has been submitted and payment received, we will send you an email with your portal username and password. Once logged in, you will be able to update your website listing(s), calendar event listings, and your company profile.
I’m a new contact at a current SMCCVB partner. How do I get access to the portal?
You may contact our Media & Public Relations Manager, Juan Camero, at email@example.com to be added as a contact and receive your portal password.
What if I own multiple businesses? Do I get any partnership discounts for the other businesses?
Yes! We offer a special relationship rate for your additional businesses. Just fill out our Relationship Rate Form.
How do I make the most of my partnership with the SMCCVB?
We are here to help! Feel free to contact our Community Outreach & Convention Services Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org or 650.348.7600 to discuss promotional opportunities. Here are a just a few of the great promotional opportunities you will want to take advantage of:
- Adding items to the calendar in the Partner Portal
- Uploading multiple photos and/or video to your listing(s)
- Attending partner Mixers
- If you are a restaurant, making sure we have your latest info on happy hour, banquet space, etc.
- Submitting your events to us to be posted on the SMC/SV CVB's social media outlets. You may do this directly by contacting Juan Camero, at email@example.com.
I already belong to my local chamber. Do I get a partnership promotional fee discount?
Yes, we gladly waive the enrollment fee for community-minded businesses that belong to their local chamber of commerce.
