Come out to the farm, roll up your sleeves, and pluck your own produce right off the plant! Many of our San Mateo County farms encourage you to come and pick your own — it’s a fun activity for the whole family and it doesn’t get any fresher.
PICK YOUR OWN FRUIT
Blue House Farm, located in San Gregorio, offers U-Pick Strawberries starting in May. They also offer you a container to collect your strawberries and you only pay for what you pick $4/pound. You may also bring a picnic lunch to enjoy on the farm too! Also located in Pescadero, you may visit R&R Fresh Farms, where you can pick your own organic raspberries, blackberries, and olallieberries. They are open daily from 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
Webb Ranch located in Portola Valley is a certified organic farm offering seasonal U-Pick berries from June through July. They have many berry varieties including Olallieberry, Raspberry, Golden Raspberry, Blackberry, Loganberry, Boysenberry, and Marionberry. They also allow special events in the berry fields, so if you are looking for a fun activity and unique location for your next birthday party, look no further!
PICK YOUR OWN PUMPKINS & PRODUCE
If you are looking for a fall-themed activity, be sure to visit Skyline Chestnuts in early October to pluck these delicious beauties freshly fallen from the trees. This La Honda crop is usually sold out by mid-November, so come early!
If you are looking for a U-Pick pumpkin patch, our coastal farms are specialists in growing these glowing orange gourds. Be sure to check out: Andreotti Family Farm, Arata's Pumpkin Farm, Farmer John's Pumpkin Farm, and Webb Ranch. A fun selfie-worthy spot in Half Moon Bay is the seasonal U-Pick sunflower garden at the Andreotti Family Farm.
